A familiar face in the story is Rens. He spent many years working happily for the Hulsman family and knew the café inside out. In close consultation and with respect for its history, he decided to continue the name — both as a tribute and as a fresh start. In this way, the well-known Hulsman story received a contemporary continuation.

Today, Grand Café & Hotel Hulsman is a modern hotel with 16 luxurious rooms and a cozy Grand Café. The warmth of the past remains, felt in the welcome, the atmosphere, and the genuine attention to every guest. A place where past and present meet, and where you immediately feel at home.

Hulsman has been a household name in Venray for decades. A place where hospitality, stories, and memories come together. The name carries a rich family history. What started as a traditional café grew into a beloved meeting spot for young and old alike. Many locals look back with a smile on the parties, drinks, and coffee moments shared at the bar.

After its closure, the building stood empty for years due to lengthy procedures and objections. It wasn’t until 2011 that a new chapter could finally begin. With care and a love for the craft, a stylish new venue was built, ready for the future.
